Yitzhak Arad - The Holocaust in Lithuania, and Its Obfuscation, in Lithuanian Sources

Some 80 years later and the international community continue to ignore the dark truth of history with the admittance of Lithuania to the EU, Nato and other key international organizations over the past few decades. In this time they have continue to do more to erase their own crimes. Nevertheless we, the survivors of the atrocities perpetrated by the Lithuanaians against the Jewish citizens of Lithuania as well as those of the occupied European countries, shall continue to remind the world of those atrocities and of the cruel murders committed by them during the Holocaust. More than 200,000 Lithuanian Jewish citizens, which were 96% of Lithuanian Jewry and hundreds of thousands more Jews from the occupied European countries- men, women and infants-were wiped out at the hands of the Lithuanians. We shall carry on reminding the horrors until Lithuania faces up to its bloody history.

Although we are aware these scenes were commonplace in those bad months, this was the one that well documented since it was a larger town and more open, it's known as the Lietukis garage massacre, where people came to watch the "Death Dealer"

This web site is an attempt at recording some of the facts and history that most Lithuanians are in denial of today.

The main navigation on the site comprises: People in the fight for truth, Some of crimes (atrocities) committed by the Lithuanians against their Jewish neighbours, and the strained relations existing between the Lithuanians and the survivors who had hoped in vain that Lithuanas behaviour would give good reason to change for the better. But alas, the Lithuanians are more anti-semitic than ever and will continue to make awards to their heroes.
